Highlighting serial numbers

What is the liquid ( ? ) used to highlight the serial numbers ---- white out ?????

  I have used "china markers", available at office supply stores.

  A silver 'china marker' will do the trick and look 'white' against the bluing.  A white 'china marker' will look grey against the bluing.  (that's an old illustrators trick to get a white high-lite on a black or dark object)

  Old school chalk board chalk has always been my choice.......easy on, easy off....no mess

  Just don't use them on a parkerized finish.

  White Crayola Crayon works. Rub it into the serial number and other markings. Wipe off the excess.
