free money is out..........

  went to bank while out this morning, small local branch close to house. atm wasn't printing, so it said about 5-6 cars in each drive through lane. so went to main bank few miles away. at least 8-10!! cars in each lane and only one in drive through atm so got behind him. I don't do online banking and such so I just checked balance at atm, and the free money hit with my social security check last night.  I noticed on way home how crowded the grocery stores were, gotta wonder if we are now gonna have a run on groceries, heard sky is falling Glen Beck saying we will be outta meat by the end of the month, but don't go out and make a run on it like toilet paper?????  wonder if these were reason for busy grocery store lots???????????

     know the feeling, pulled couple thousand out just to have cash here at the house, never know if you may need it or not...... not like it is making any interest anyway

      My son works in a credit union as a loan officer. It was all hands on deck this AM do to cash withdrawals ect. related to banking.

    Mine was deposited this morning. Like Hillbille, we keep some cash at home. I think it is making more interest in my gun safe than in the bank!!  :*

    Same her had an extra $2400 in my checking account this morning and I'm in no hurry to spend it.

    Just what we need a bunch of idiots buying up every piece of meat they can shove in their freezer for no reason other than Uncle Sam gave them the money to do it, I was hoping they would use it to buy crack and new cars

      I kinda wondered that myself Mogley, about the drugs, will see if we have big number of overdoses in next few days........   if they would even report that

    Haven't received ours.  Checked "irs: wheres my payment".  Stated "could not locate account that matched my information".  Been paying taxes for 60 years and now they can't locate my account.  Anybody that'll get screwed will be me.

     I read  just part  of a article where the dems are trying to get a rule  / law passed no one can clam the money before it gets to the people  .. they are worried  the debt collectors will garnish it for  owed bills  they have not paid .. I thought that was what it was for to pay bills if you owe them ........... but  my wife said  that"s what i get for thinking they would use it  to pay bills

    Wife and I got ours this AM, most of it going to Baptist Children's Home food drive in Thomasville, NC.
    BUT I will hold on to at least 1/4 of it to pay back to Uncle Sam.
    So far I have not missed a days work due to the damdemic. Essential worker, so they say.

    I noticed much more traffic today and the grocery stores were full.There are probably a lot of people with no income that really needed that money to feed their families.

    My friend Ron and his wife received their payment this morning. I haven't had a tax refund since 1985, so I'm not on file for direct deposit. After screwing around on the IRS site for 35 minutes last night, I was supposed to have entered my deposit info, but have never received a confirmation email. This program was not well thought out.

    Under the $2 trillion coronavirus relief package, millions of Americans will receive one-time direct payments in the coming weeks to help offset the ongoing financial burden caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

    These stimulus checks, formally called "recovery rebates," will be delivered to Americans via direct deposit or US mail, and they won't be taxed as income, according to Nicole Kaeding, the vice president of policy promotion and an economist at the National Taxpayers Union Foundation.

    To qualify to receive a payment, you need to have a Social Security number. Nonresident aliens, people without a Social Security number, and adult dependents are not eligible.

    Got another email from the Ohio unemployment office this morning.  When I filed we had a mass layoff number that indicated the layoff was due to the China Virus crisis.  We were told the waiting week was waived if laid off due to the China Virus, cool.  The email had an addy to respond with name, date of layoff and a third line for requesting the waiting week be waived due to the China Virus.  WTH!!!!  The mass layoff number was directly related to the Virus issue but yet again we have to tell them the same information in a separate email giving the same information yet again.  We get lots of emails but nary a dime in unemployment.  Thank God I get to go back to work next Monday...

    All other deaths miraculously stopped here since they're getting a bounty [$39K for a CV death and $15k for treating a CV patient] from Uncle Sugar.  Not 1 OD when we had a them daily.  Yep, the junkies stayed home and didn't do dope ever again and maintained social distance.
