Anyone know about Nursing Home Abuse. How to file a complaint ??????

    Your local police of county sheriff should have someone who handles Adult Protective Services (APS). File a report with the LE agency as a first step.

    there is alwas a number in your state to call it will light a fuse

    Google "nursing home abuse in ____________" (your state). Several years ago, my wife and her sister filed a complaint on one here. After a short investigation that facility shut down and paid big fines. They had to reimburse my MIL's fees in full. Luckily, no permanent harm was done, it was lack of attention to cleanliness and hours long delays in medicine dosage.

    As others have said , there should be a dedicated unit/ division of the local health Dept etc that investigates elder abuse / neglect . Start with either the Sheriffs Dept or social services , they will point the way . My mother served on an investigation board for about 15 years handling this type of case . Good luck
