Beauty is only skin deep. Ugly, goes clear to the bone.

OK, ask your kids if they know what a bandanna is. Most won't know is my guess.Hospitals in the hot zones are mostly out of n95 masks, so they may be using the pleated surgical masks. Only thing I know for sure, they aren't availabe for civilians. And, my sewing machine is in the shop.

Judy has been making surgical style masks for our friends. She also made enough for the local Post Office that she retired from. They were super appreciative as the post office didn't even supply them for the clerks to wear. Speaking of the Post Office our local office gets the mail from the large sorting center near Detroit. They have so many out sick or have tested positive that almost no mail is going out. There are millions of unsorted pieces of mail piling up there. I don't know how they will ever get caught up. Improvising I made my own out of a coffee filter and duct tape, everything was fine until I tried to remove it. It must have worked I'm still alive......

I have a friend who lives in Quito, Ecuador. Many years ago I had been writing him and did not get a response, this was back before email was in use. I finally got a letter from him and he said there had been a postal strike for several months and they took all of the backed up mail to a local volcano and dumped it in there so he never got any of my letters.BobJudy said:Judy has been making surgical style masks for our friends. I hope there is not a volcano close to Detriot?
Our local PO first put up plexiglass shields in front of each station. Now they have the shield plus they have drapped plastic sheeting from the ceiling to the counter on each side of the shields.0 -
There are now a bunch of YouTubes on DIY masks, some are no-sew versions. My wife made ours and I wear that or a BUFF when I'm out. 0
