    I found a 1936 Dodge Brothers sedan in the woods. Had a tree growing out of the rumble seat.

    Back in the 60's we found a 27 dodge in the woods, body was rusted to heck. We dragged to one kids houseand went to work on the drive train. We got it running by the end of summer and drove it all over the dirt roads around here.
    My neighbor & older man asked me to go to Boston with him as his daughter had dug  up a car in yard right next to the foundation. We went took a good look at it and turned it over to police.It didn't look good inside

    On the follow up after we sold. I was in the neighborhood yrs later. Drove up from SC to a car auction and was still friends with a neighbor of the house we sold. I seen a couple at the old house outside and walked over and told them. Wife turned as white as a sheet and she wasn't white.

    know a couple of homes in the country that dug a trench outside and ran an old car into and stupckthe septic drain in a window, then covered it up....not fancy but cheap...before planning commissions where you had to get a permit anytime you wanted to drive a nail or saw a board ...and pay fees

    It seems like every time I bury a body, I dig up a previously buried body.

    A few years ago a guy around here buried his PU after a hit and run accident.

    There was a Ferrari Dino buried in Los Angeles in the 1970's.

      a old fellow I knew ( dead now ) bulldozed over about a dozen cars ( per his oldest ) son from the 40's- 50's  in a section behind his house back in the 60"s just to clean up the space . and a old GF  of mine one of her grandfathers had did the same in a woods on his property  I  could still see  parts pieces even the grills of old cars where they burred them 
    I do not think was uncommon
     also when I was a young fellow I remember traveling in Tennessee they had stacked old cars on the curve in the river  and by a bridge in the same area  to kit from eroding
    one more fast story when younger I met fellow who for 500.00 and a a couple days  head start  before reporting it would take your car and you could claim insurance on a stolen car   
    I am sure just the tip of a iceberg

    we found a vase, that belong to a 20 or 30s era Hurst. No cracks or chips. It is in pristine condition. Neighbor told us that where are house stands, was once a junk yard for old vehicles, that were used on the farm. We are always finding hunks of metal, presumably from old cars, and lots of bolts and old glass bottles.

    Our whole yard is full of phenelic (spelling) resin. Like the isolators you see on top of telephone poles. Can't dig anywhere without finding pieces of them.

    Ditch-runner- never heard of anyone paying to have their car stolen! I read somewhere that the insurance companies estimate 10/20 % of car thefts are sketchy.
