Craving Some Deviled Eggs
All of this egg talk, boiled, pickled, etc. has me salivating for some good deviled eggs!
I sometimes have success and make a very good plate of them but it has often been hit or miss. Always do the yolk mixing using my taste buds for sampling as I go. Don't think I've ever made the same batch twice!
Anyone have a good recipe to share?

I think I'll make some after when eggs are cheap. I got a recipe I clipped some where that uses anchovy as the salt I wanna try out. I reckon I got time to locate that while the egg prices drop back down to normal. 0 -
Wow FCD that is complicated. We just add a little mustard, a little mayo and a little horseradish to taste, top with crushed chile and dill. 0 -
Thanks FCD. Another recipe added to the files.

Thank you all for your recipe ideas and I must apologize for being away from my computer to not see all but the first post made by FCD. It was a very busy day taking care of home chores and giving two K-9's a needed bath. My 108 pound Golden Retriever was not too hip on the idea but I managed to get his big a.s.s. over the tub wall and after a few messy dog shake water everywhere including me, he finally settled down and actually enjoyed his spring cleaning!
Anyway, after all my other work was done I got busy on the eggs and followed FCD's recipe to the TEE, as I had all the stuff on his list! I did it like my dear departed grandma used to do by not using any real kind of measuring tools. I poured the vinegar into the palm of my very clean hand and in it went! Sugar, same, celery salt ditto, and a clean spoon into the Miracle Whip, a spritz from the Frenches yellow mustard and a heaping coffee teaspoon of horse radish.
I premade the additives and mixed it all into a bowl before I even got started on the eggs. Took a dab on my very clean finger (right hand) and sampled it for taste and...….OOOOOoooooLAla! Goooooooood!
Used my method to boil 8 eggs. I put them in a pot of cold water, put a lid on and get them to a boil. As soon as the water boils I shut the heat down and move the pot to a cold burner on the stove. Set my timer for 7 minutes and then immediately drain the hot and hit them with ice cold running well water. Leave it run for a spell and then started pealing those shells away. They came off nice and clean and quick which put a smile on my face.
The finished product turned out to be the best darn deviled eggs I have eaten since my granny passed back in '88! Thank you Flying Clay Disk! I will keep this recipe for future use!
