Winchester 94 stock interchange

Will a Winchester pre war model 94 buttstock fit on a Winchester model 55 ?  Any info is always appreciated.

  Yes.... but it will look funny.  All of the Model 55 butt stocks have a "fluted comb", whereas the Model 94 stocks did not.  It will be readily apparent to knowledgeable collectors that the stock is not the correct type for a Model 55.
