Awww... kiddie tank. While at the shops take a look in the fish med for yourself. What were they saying folks were buying (I forget the two items) them to cure COVID19. 0 -
Why are there green paint rollers in your fish tank? 0 -
They just look like green paint rollers. They are moss covered tubes for future Plecko's to hide in. But for that matter there are a lot of fish that hide in them when the lights are on.NeoBlackdog said:Why are there green paint rollers in your fish tank?0 -
I'm not worried about the fish catching Covid 19 as I don't let them out of the house. Yep its a kiddie tank its sitting right next to the 55. Next time Petco has their $1 per gallon sale I'm going pick up another 5 or 10 gallon tank and start raising shrimp.yoshmyster said:Awww... kiddie tank. What was I looking where I saw pleco condo I thought was cool for mbunas or babies? They were modular Lego kind a deal. I think the price gave me a sticker shock. PVC pipes are so much cheaper. I think I'll throw some PVC pipes in the pond to collect hair algae for the cichlids to play and eat.
Never got in to shrimp. I did buy some glass shrimp and threw them in to a 50 gallon barrel to see if they'll propagate but I got a big ass cattail growing in that now (for like 20 years). For all I know under the cattail rootball I got 10 generations of glass shrimp? I should go to the local pond and catch a bucket of Daphnias to throw in the 300 gallon horse trough pond of mine.

I've got some pvc ones in the 38 gallon upstairs that I put grooves in hit them with a couple of coats of matte acrylic paint and they now look just like tree stumps. The plecos , yoyo loaches and cory cats just love them.yoshmyster said:What was I looking where I saw pleco condo I thought was cool for mbunas or babies? They were modular Lego kind a deal.
