What about military what they do is very physical and dangerous. They don’t get paid millions of dollars when they are hurt or killed.

@Warbirds , Not to find sympathy for some of these spoiled brats, but can you imagine playing a physical sport like NBA basketball at the age of 32 (which would be 10 years out of college)? It would probably take 1 million of that $2.56m salary just to cover the surgeries in the off-season so you could keep playing at that level. Basketball, of all the pro sports, is probably one of the most physical of all.
Agree its a physical sport.
if my eyeball math is correct by the time they have hit the 10 year mark, they have cleared about 20 million in earnings.
I could probably figure out how to retire comfortably if I had amassed that sum of money by my early 30’s.
