So what just do the "badges" represent?  And what does the "promote", "disagree", "like", "LOL" and "abuse" and their "mojies" indicate?????  Thanks
The badges represent different levels of participation in the forums. When I hold my cursor over each mojie, I see an explanation of what each of them means. If you don't have that function: Thumbs up means good, a happy face means Laugh Out Loud, A birthday cake with a candle indicates how long you've been a forum member, the little speech bubble shows how many comments you've made in the forum. There is also a purple"Name Dropper" mojie giving the number of times your name has been mentioned in the forum.

    REACTIONS include:
Promote- No one knows what that means. I've promoted a few members and nothing has happened to them...at least nothing apparent.
Disagree- Someone disagrees with what you said.
Like- Someone liked what you had to say.
LOL (Laugh Out Loud)- Someone found what you had to say was funny.
Abuse- You are abusing another member, or breaking the forum rules with your post.

I'm looking at your profile and see that no one has promoted you, two different members disagree with what you had to say in two different threads,  20 members liked what you had to say, 10 member found what you had to say was funny, and you are guilty of no abuse in this forum.

In short: keep it up, you're doing great.

    None of it means anything.

it is for the millennials who confuse buttons with social status.

    carry on.

All those things on this new board format are just the trinkets in the Cracker Jacks. You wonder what you're going to get - and it turns out to be worthless.

+1 (since you don't like agree).  Who do I pay to get a promotion or two?  Seriously Mark how do promotions happen?  If they happen.

Dale, I have a promote button on my panel with which I can parcel out promotions. I have no idea what actually happens when a member is promoted, but I just promoted you. Besides you now feeling special, let us know what metamorphoses has taken place.

Wow, thanks Mark, that was worth every penny!  It shows 1 promotion, but there appears to be no change in rank or anything else.  I am still a member.  At my age I think I qualify for ancient, but there are a few blokes here older than I. :o
