I would give your employees a printed copy of your FFL with a letter on the back stating that your gun business has been deemed essential and the worker in question (give their full name and address) is essential. Then sign it and provide your phone number. Although there are dealers who give their regular customers copies of their FFL for online purchases, not many people are carrying FFLs who aren't "engaged in the business."

Every letter I have seen has been issued from a corporate office, not a city or State Gov. How an officer can determine or enforce "essential" travel versus non during a traffic stop is beyond me.

my oldest son has one the company gave him but as of right now Ohio is not pulling people over just to check for the most part we can go any where as long as we consider it necessary  ( why yes officer I was going to the grocery or many other reasons is all we have to say my youngest son also deemed necessary to work has not said any thing about a driving pass from work
If me I would call the local LEO or state police  ask what is required for your people to get a pass if pulled over  just to make sure I will guess every state has there  own rules that change each week

My wife has a "letter of transit" from her school principal.  Yes, school is out, but she goes in on a volunteer basis to pass out food.  I will go with her and help out tomorrow.  I borrowed the "letter of transit" moniker from Casablanca, in which this non-existent document served as a plot device.

I can just imagine the local gendarmes demanding in their very best German accent:  "Your papers, PLEASE!"

Good training for when the Feds tell us we have to have a permit to travel across state lines with destination and length of stay, estimated time of travel, intended fuel stops, number of travelers, reason to cross state lines and a number to call when you reach your destination.

    I have 2 letters.

1st is written direction by the Under Secretary of Defense.

2nd is a letter by our corporate VP of security.

    in a nutshelL:

The letters say I am an employee of xzy company & my work is essential. As defined by the POTUS on March 20.

And I am damn sure earning my paycheck these days😀

My good friends and neighbors at my 2nd home in Fluvanna County, Va. are all getting essential letters from their employers. They seem to think old Ralphie is going to fire out a bunch of EO's.

I'll put something on one of my FFLs.....thank you for the idea Mark.     I don't think it will be an issue and I doubt we will ever have any use out of this, but its good to get ahead of any issues if we can.

Since your kids have moved out, move them into those bedrooms until this is over!!  The added effect will be they can't pick up something to give you going to and from your place.   :)

I would just give them a letter stating they are part of your business on official letterhead and state the purpose of the letter in the message.
