Eating dinner and looked out in the back yard.........UPDATE

And a big old Tom came strutting out of the woods. Then following social distancing, he was followed by 6 hens. Last year he had 13 hens at his disposal. I guess last years hunting season took a toll on his love life. :o

Update: About 2 hours later my wife hollered out that the Tom was walking back to the west woods. I looked and waited for the girls to follow him back from the east woods, but they didn't. I told the wife "I bet he sold the girls to buy some crack"  :)

BTW, Thanks guys for the pictures, the battery in my camera was dead, and my phone dosen't do telephoto worth a darn.

    There are tons of turkeys and deer here this year. My buddy said the other day, " Get out of the truck with a shotgun shell in your pocket and they will all disappear."

    We had flocks of 20-30 crossing the road/woodland fields in front of me last year. Seen a few recently, but not in the quantity I saw last year.

    My wife feeds deer at the edge of the woods behind our house and occasionally a few Turkey will stop by for a snack.  They are smart. If I had a gun in my hand instead of a camera you'd never see them.

    more fun to shoot em with a camera   creek bottom area 1 mile away with twp road thru it ...see over 100 turkey  at once...

    Got tons of em by me. I'm excited for the spring season. I have not gone in several years.

    Been told wild turkeys will stay out in the open when it pours the rain, something about when they rub against a twig or grass it will allow the water to get under the feathers, kinda like touching the inside of a tent when it is raining.
    Also heard that the chicks will drown if they get out in the tall grass when there is a heavy dew on the ground.
    Good herd around here, never understand why they roost high in the big oak timber on the worst nights of the winter.
    North side of the hill and about 30 yards from my window.  The trees are sheltered a little from the wind. Plenty of evergreen trees around to roost in but never see them near them.
