Browning BL 22

I was shooting my Browning Bl 22 at the range last weekend, when it became hard to cycle the lever. Next thing I know, the ejector spring and ejector fell out of the gun. Took it home and disassembled it. The ejector pin sheared off. WTH. Called Browning to send it back. After checking the serial number, the man said it was made in 1978 and not one of the guns covered by warranty. It seems some were covered and some were not. I don't understand why, but it has to do with where they were manufactured. This one was manufactured in Japan. Great. We talked for a few minutes and I told him I had three of these, plus a 32-20 and some Browning shotguns. He then said, go to our website, down load the repair form and send it , addressed to me. I will get it fixed for you, under warranty. Awesome. I really love this gun and hunt with it in PA for small game.

    I know it will come off as sacrilege to the Marlin, Henry and Winchester fans but the BL22 is my favorite. Light, fast (33 degree) action and I've never seen one that didn't shoot pretty darn good. 15 or so years ago I was at a seminar with the Browning, Winchester, Marlin, etc... reps and hands down all the attendees liked the BL22 the best. Shooting them side by side really made it easy to compare things like weight, balance, trigger and accuracy. Glad they are going to get it running again for you. Bob

    Oakie said: Yes. This 22 is my all time favorite 22 . I Squirrel hunt with it up in PA. Very accurate. I bought three of the Grade II BL's. One for me, my son and wife. They are fun to have competitions with, at the range. By the way, My son usually wins ;)

    Service, Service, Service.  Better PR than money can buy.  I called "Master Lock" in Milaukee awhile back as I had an older quality "bottom" combo lock that I lost the combo to.  Bah,bah, they sent me a new lock, no charge.
