I ran into the same issue at the drug store picking up a prescription and a few other things for my wife the other day.

This old couple are pushing a cart up and down the isle just shopping for anything in general.  Isles are narrow so I will not go down an isle with someone in it.  Almost every time I was getting ready to go down an isle these idiots were coming up it with their shopping cart.
You hit the nail on the head, they are MORONS.  I don't give a sh** if they want to kill themselves but they are not going to put me and my wife, who are both in the high risk catagory in danger.

I was out this past Monday at a Dolla Gangsta and it looked like a mosh pit at the checkout. Are they that clueless? Went to a smaller Wal-Mart Thursday, seemed okay until the crowded self checkout. Nobody in line at the human checkout, went there and checked out easily.
Only myself and one employee had a mask on properly. I did  see some people with masks on their head or low on the chin & neck. No wonder this is getting worse. :#

we went into town earlier  for a few items
funny having to wait in line ( although it was just a minute or two ) to enter as some one left  at lowes and wally world  tractor supply no such thing just as normal
did see some wearing mask some full face shields and most just as normal . but everyone was keeping there distance
got my 4 roll of TP at wally world which is really  1 1/2  rolls split into 4 ( or about a days supply for the wife LOL )  but its 48 cents and limit one at least there trying to help ? make sure everyone gets to wipe there butt and for some of the shoppers I have seen smelled it would be a 1st time to actual use it
over all not to bad we got all we went out for stopped by a ll local grocery got a couple packs of bonelss chicken breast for the dogs ( they are spoiled and eat better than I did as a kid )

Yep the dog (little person) gets two well prepped meals a  day, always includes chicken breast, carrots, and some kind of sugar peas. Might even get a taste of steak and salmon occasionally. Me , I am luck to get 3 home cooked meals a week. Go figure.

Local couple, both nurses in hospitals, took trip to NYC. Came back with flu, husband died already. Family complaining about people not staying home!     And these people were professionals.

I don’t understand the professionals and what they are thinking.  Local fire dept. had three from ambulance went on a call for elderly with respiratory issue all three have CV because they did not wear PPE.

I haven't gone out much, but I did pick up our Sundubrunch today. On the way, I noticed groups of millennials standing outside different convenience stores, all of them yukking it up and hallooing face to face. Know-it-alls who scoff at any kind of authority, and the thought came to me, "Those are the carriers infecting all they touch."

WTH is so hard to understand about staying away from people.

Humans seem to have the same mentality as cows .... aka 'herd mentality.'
People move out of cities/towns to be in the country by themselves and within a few years, they are surrounded by hundreds of others doing the same thing.

Park you car in the far corner of the parking lot with hundreds of empty spaces around you and when you come back, some other fool or fools have parked right next to you.

    "Herd mentality"   :s
Or go on a lonely beach two miles long, not another vehicle in sight at 6am. Put out two surf rods and watch some idiot come all the way to park next to you.

    Supermarket report:
Looks like the panic may be about over - at least here in Ogden Utah. Local supermarket this morning had full bread shelves, almost full meat and dairy, at least some flour, rice - and even Lysol. They had ham and canned chili on sale! Plenty produce, even potatoes. No fresh seafood, but this is Utah, so no surprise. Toilet paper shelf still bare-bottomed, though.

What were they supposed to do? Get out of the isle so you could walk down it? Why didn't you find an isle they weren't in? What are you? Special? You sound more like the Moron!

People are freaking STUPID!  I tried everything I could to stay away from one local  id10t in the Rutland OH Dollar General.   He had an empty cart wandering the isles chatting with folks while parked right next to them.  I will NEVER EVER understand the human capacity to be a dumb * clueless dolt.  I have enough milk now for two weeks if I conserve.  I did snag a family sized pack of Oreos too.  When I checked out mom and daughter in front of me were side by side, I stayed three cart lengths behind them and made sure I sanitized me and my purchases when I got home.

The moron wandering around with the empty cart came out as I was leaving, he had a pack of smokes...
You should know better in Rutland.....cmon neighbor..

It's called shopping you dumba s s. If they don't have what you're looking for you look for something else. The same reason you were walking up and down each isle.

Then dumb***'s like you should stay out of the stores.  Each aisle is marked with what is in the aisle, get it and get the F*** out but it appears you are not smart enough to do that.

Wow virus paranoia reads its ugly head. As long as you have a mask or even hold your breath as you pass within 6 feet of those people you won't be in any more danger than walking where they had been 5 minutes before. They say the virus may remain suspended in the air for quite some time. We can be sensible and wear a mask and sanitize properly or curl up into a ball and hide in the basement. My last trip to the grocery store meant I had to go up and down most aisles and customers were frequently passing each other in the aisles.  Should I have settled for 1 or 2 items and then have to come back in a couple of days or get all I came for and stay away for 2 weeks? Are there idiots not using common sense? Yes I guess there are but there are also people overwhelmed by paranoia. I say this as a immune compromised senior. Bob

Why would you expect a mother and daughter to social distance? Aren't they living together?
