Covid - Your Cell Phone Data (location) is being tracked.
My county gets an F with no cases of Covid.
The issue I see is there is lots of land here with few people. My road is a mile long.
Tracking a Cell Phone a mile in Chicago = lots of people and places. Lots of social interaction.
Tracking a Cell Phone a mile in bumble___ = no people or businesses around for miles and miles.
Right now they are only revealing County info.
Individual user info is not open to the public. You can be damn sure "they" have access to it.

It will not be long before you have no rights. I seldom turn on cell phone and I don't carry it everywhere either. They still have a back up plan with face recognition software; tinted ski googles and a mask. 0 -

The danger to us as individuals has been known since the advent of GPS software in phones which we use for mapping, way finding and a hundred other things on a daily basis. But since we refuse to do without it, using it a hundred times a day to find our children, find a store, read restaurant reviews and participating in the dread social media garbage, we are stuck with the surveillance. The gubmint feels safe in gathering the data and using it for their own agenda because we do nothing to complain or even attempt to stop them. We want our comforts and security and we're unwilling to give it up.
As much as I hate cell phones, I was in 17 states working on a dozen projects in two years. It would have been impossible for me to manage that amount of travel and work without the cell phone. Just getting from one point to another in a state I am unfamiliar with would have been more than just tedious. Managing flight schedules, car rentals, appointments, data transmission for meetings, in progress drawings for updates would all have tied me up for more than one day certainly for each location.
But the real problem is the math and the formulas used to try to make sense of complex data. Just as in the example above, a one mile walk down a driveway in the country has no correlation to a one mile walk in New York City. It's simply a bad application of improperly applied formulas. But these politicians are scrambling for millions and sometimes billions of dollars in aid under circumstances where they get nothing more than possibly a few seconds of attention mostly through data. So their path is fast, easy and cheap not detailed and correct.
I am not excusing any politician let alone those scum bags on social media for data collection. Until we force them to stop they will continue. Education using the Demoncrap agenda sees to that.

If it is completely powered down, it will not be seen. Your kind'a vague on turned off or powered down (standby). You can't take a battery out of most phones now,but if you have a solar shield in your car presto,just wrap the phone in it and no signal.

Mine is turned off, not in standby mode. Off off. As I used to do with my flip phone, I turn it on once a month to delete the text message that says my monthly payment was received. Then I turn it off again. It is for emergencies.
And for those of you who smugly predicted that I'd soon be as much of a smart phone addict as everyelse, you were so,so wrong.

One of my sons gave me a smart phone for my birthday in February. I have used it to make and receive calls and have learned how to get current weather reports. I now have 3 different phone choices, a land line, a pay ahead of time flip phone, and the new smart phone. All 3 set ups have different phone numbers.
I have looked at some of the online features of the new phone but my old eyes drive me nuts in trying. If I was stuck with this only, it would be an easy way to get off this modern communication grid without any remorse!
I have read media reports about several million Chinese cell phones that are no longer giving out data. Perhaps it may be hard for those commies to cover up what is truly going on over there!

The Patriot Act, after 9/11 gave the Government broad reaching powers that have not been fully disclosed to the American public.
This particular Act, is an afront to Civil Liberties within the United States. Not much has been said or discussed about it in the public eye.
