Grocery Shopping Just Now -

The difference in a couple days was astounding. Our TN Gov. anounced a "Stay at Home," policy, on the 2nd. (Read about it this AM.)

Went for some basics for the long haul. Potatoes, carrots, onions, Chicken breasts, beef broth, some additional pasta, (Farffale) another loaf of wheat bread, sliced Turkey deli meat, about 4 Chicken Pot pies at .86 each, have a freezer full of meat, want to be able to crock pot a roast with veggies, ad naseum. Supplementing tbe good amount of food, I already have on hand. (Not hurting.)

The place was picked clean. Got what I wanted, except for some Soup Starters, for the Crock Pot. Joked with a few people about "Social distancing."

The difference between when I was in there a couple days ago, was profound. I was told by cashiers, that yesterday was "Crazy."

It is ramping up.

    Hmmm currently here in the Chas SC area it seems just the opposite, the stores seem to be catching up all except sanitizer and Lysol, toilet paper no longer an issue.

    same here in WI  took couple of weeks or so for folks to feel like they had enough of a supply on hand , I was in WM this morning and the TP  was just about stocked to the max, no Lysol or hand sanitizer was to be found

    I believe the two day hurting/decimation on our Grocery stores, was a result of the Governors anouncment of a Statewide "Stay at Home" mandate. People that are not adequately prepped, are freaking.

    I am merely supplementing my fresh food larder. I want to be able to eat some fresh food/veggies, as opposed to relying on the stockpiles of the items I have on hand.


    When I was in there about 3-4 days ago, I also felt they were "catching up," and were pretty well stocked. The difference in a few days time, was astounding.

     They were picked clean here since it was free food day of the month in Illinois with Link cards and such.

    You are about 3 weeks behind Michigan. That's the way it looked here for 2 weeks after Governor Gretchen shut down the state. Stores were just starting to catch up this week, at least food wise. Still no paper products or hand sanitizer anywhere. Bob
