A different kind of surge after this is over.

We people and families that are prepared for a 4-6 week shutdown are going to have to restock our supplies once this China Virus is defeated and we can get back to work and normal lives.
The stores are being ransacked by the unprepared right now.  That is not going to change in the foreseeable future .
The final surge for stores will be when those that were prepared finally step out and replenish our stocks. I see that happening 1-2 months after this crisis ends and the stores get back to more normal volumes and pricing.

    Will that be a surge or a re-surge?
    And yes, you're correct.  Gonna be a lot of us re-supplying!

     will likely take months to get the supply chain back to normal, as I fear the hording will continue into the fall for fear of flu/virus returning with cold weather, I hope I am wrong......

     If the Virus peaks and reemerges this fall then another lock down is possible.The system is letting out criminals now and the job market for the average person is not going to be they way it was. Inflation is going to come back with a vengeance with all the
    free money,tax breaks etc..and when that runs out it will be free welfare for all including all illegal immigrants that will be demanding citizenship and other freebies the state, counties and cities will give them. Property Taxes will increase for everyone.
                 And shovel ready jobs are not easy jobs they are hard jobs in the hot sun. I doubt the American people are going to flock to real work like building highways,dams, or cutting down trees for state parks.

    I have been shopping at Trader Joes for most things.


    it costs a bit more but they have been doing the best job managing their customers that I have seen.

    At least at my Trader Joes they are really carrying a very normal inventory. Almost everything is readily available.

    All that to say I haven’t been hunkered down only eating cans of beans twice a day.

    this could reoccur in another form later in the year........Pandora's box really got opened this time......figure only real solution is a vaccination that covers it and its forms ????
