i remember the last bailout when the ceo of gm said in video they were taking the money and going to china....and gm/chevy 2017 sold just over 4 million vehicles under diff brands in china, about 1/3 more than sold in the USA...so her comes the CV nasty and TRUMP has to use the Defense Production Act to force GM to build ventilators for AMERICANS dying in AMERICA by a virus from china....i would walk before giving gm/chevy one FNNN penny.....

I am not a GM fan but it is a global economy.
It is the unions driving manufacturing overseas, not the corporations.
I call BS on any video where GM said what you claim.
If you want the US to remain a superpower our companies must manufacture and sell globally.
Look at the Unions all backing Biden- be pissed about that.

Get the facts straight. GM and Ventec was already in an agreement to built them. Along comes our big mouth President who cannot stop spreading false rumors and jumps on GM. They had already gotten the Kokomo Plant in Indiana set up to produce them. Only problem is the Govt did not have a contract with them. GM done all of this on a voluntary basis BEFORE Trump declared the National Declaration making them build them along with Ford. He is simply covering his behind to make sure if more folks die it isn't his fault. It is ok each day for Trump to go on TV but he shouldn't be the one speaking . I heard on the radio last night that GM is innocent of the claims against them. The Ventec Co. has the contract with the government and GM is a subcontractor. Ventec Co. had some problems with the government that caused the delay. The CEO of Ventec Co. praised GM for their response and help. 0 -

Pretty much how I understood about how it went down. I think Trump just wanted to make an example so as to stifle any resistance from any other corperations. Robots dont' have unions and benefits so much cheaper to run with bigger profit and lower overhead.Go cashless after all the central banks fiat money collapses and confiscate all firearms from peasants, so they can't resistand make all take housing and other forms of assistance from the government. In place surveillance on all citizens and instill discipline like in red China now. Have a world congress with appointments by each country by population and approved like in Red China now. I find these days that the average American is darned if he does or darned if he doesn't.
I was in my prime when buy American was the rant everywhere. Now days you have to really look at the fine print using a high power magnifying glass to even figure out where chit comes from. There really isn't a hell of a lot of big ticket items made totally here anymore!0 -

Except Congress with Big Ticket legislation items for debt and quick too!~ I can't remember trusting any politician of what he/she promises and what he/she accomplishes after the elections.
Is The infrastructure of The USA like roads, bridges,freeways,schools etc... other than toll turnpikes, that are getting repaired or replaced with our Tax dollars, Yet! Its's all a big con job!

....and at least 7 times, the House of Representatives that hold the money bags has failed to act on Trumps infrastructure suggestions and since the majority of the house is DEMOCRAT, they fail to act out of spite.
Blaming Trump for this one is ludicrous.

For 30 yr I was a loyal GM owner who wouldn’t even consider owning anything else except for a Mazda the wife just had to have.
Then I had a minor issue with my S10 Blazer that the dealer was unable to fix after five attempts. It was still under warranty.
So I called Detroit and spoke to a GM rep who was absolutely no help at all. I remarked to this lady that I never had an issue like this with my Mazda. Her response was, “Maybe you should have bought another Mazda, Sir”.
That did it for me. I became totally disenchanted with GM.
I was able to fix the problem with my S10 Blazer myself, which doesn’t say much for the dealer’s mechanics, and put it up for sale.
With two months both Blazers and my motor home were gone. I now drive Dodge and Jeep and guess what? My repairs and problems are now a fraction of what they used to be with my GM vehicles.
GM will NEVER see another dime from me and I wouldn’t drive their junk now if someone gave me one free.
Your mileage may vary.

I tire of the pissing matches regarding this virus.
Trump is a real estate person, not a manufacturer. He was complaining that the GM did not get production up and running fast enough. It takes time, vendors and a lot of things the re-tool a factory and a real-tool to complain about it when he does not understand it.
Don't get me wrong. On balance, I believe Trump is handling this as well as anyone would. I would prefer, as has been expressed by many above, that he limits his public statements to those which are helpful.0 -
