We are in south Jersey and our news has made it clear that new York City / Manhattan island will be quarantined - all bridges and tunnels closed off with military guards - no boats or helicopters - you are stuck.

New Jersey looks likely to get it's borders closed as well...

    And possibly Connecticut...

The CDC has the power to restrict or block travel from state to state as part of its mandate and that's how they will cage us in.

10,000+ dead in Italy - 964 died yesterday

Spain is losing approx 1000 people per day

Seems the governors would have enough common sense to stop the spread themselves. Many people are fleeing what they voted for.

I hope they do it. I feel for those stuck there, but we have to contain this mess before they all take to the highways and spread it like wildfire.

I found (or at least heard) this morning that the "Owner of the Golf course Son just flew in from NYC and tested positive." That is just freakin' Awesome. (Not to mention all the people on board the plane.) Have heard that there are now two cases in our small very rural town. (Was told the Pharmacist at Walgreens had also tested positive.) Who knows how many he would have come in contact with.

Ws told "there are now 5 cases in Boone, NC. and NC is having a manadatory shutdown tomorrow at 5pm."

(Do not know if this is fact. Just what I was told by a couple people this AM.)

If I am not wrong you have a university in Boone.  I know the case we had in the town next to us was a college student.  Students are traveling abroad quite a bit theses days and all of them had to come home quickly and screening was not very good and some came from hot spot areas so I think you are going to see more cases in college towns.

Yes SW0320, Appalachian State. I was told "there were 2 Students there that had tested positive. (And) that there were now 5 in the town of Boone." This was from a resident of Boone, who I did not know.

If what i was told this morning about the two cases in our small very rural town is true, it will jump off.

I was told one of the two was the Pharmacist at Walgreens. If true - how many medications and bottles did he handle, interact with customers. I am afraid if true, it will jump off here. Not good.

The other case, was the Son of a well to do landowner (Golf Course) who flew in from NYC, seems to have brought it with him. My 90 year old Mom, saw him interacted with him the other day. She lives on the Golf Course. I am not very happy.

My Mom, called me back twice this AM, after i told her about it. "Surely the Dad, or Peter (the Son) would have said something to us?" I said no way. Surely you can appreciate that everyone would be extremely angry with him. It will effect his bottom line for a Loong time. Idiot.
