    I was referring to the bidder who bid 50 times and still wasn't the high bidder..

      WOW, never even heard of such. And selling from Ruger the sky is the limit.
     That has to be one of the rarest Ruger's made and there is many serious collectors of Ruger's out there.

    Did not realize Ruger made this rifle.   Looks like it will bring some serious $$

    I remember several years ago there was a Mini 14 "pump" rifle for sale on the auction side.  Someone had converted a regular semi-auto Mini 14 into a pump action to be legal in California.  That was pretty awful, to say the least.

    Winning bidder responsible for Federal Excise Tax?  BS.  The 11% FET is on the manufacturer, not on anyone else in the buying/selling chain.  And since it's a percentage, how does Ruger know the amount in advance?  It smells.

    This model was made for the Great Britain market as they are not allowed to own semi auto rifles.  However, I feel it defeats the purpose of owning such a rifle.

    I recall after our troops deployed to Haiti we saw some vet bring back pieces in the gunshop...

    Including M1 Garands that has been turned into straight pull action weapons - the gas op system had been torched near the front plug...

    Also M1 carbines that had the mags welded in place and no bayonet lugs...

    The guns as you might imagine were in awful condition - the technicals and poppa Doc supporters did not take good care of them.
