    That business about Turnbull working on it. Would give me the shakes, if I was bidding on it. Turnbull specializes in restoring guns, into factory original  condition. 

    i can't see a Turnbull restoration, being sold as being in mint original condition. This also would cause me to question the authenticity, of the Colt box and all the other accessories being sold with the revolver.

      I don't know but I think it is very nice but everyone has an opinion. At over 11k some people are serious about collecting it.

    For that kind of money I'll cut the trigger guard on  one of mine and call it savaged

    To each his own. Not something that I would be interested in for everyday carry. But with only 15 - 20 made it probably is the holy grail for some Colt collectors. Turnbull restorations are so highly regarded that if restored it would only have a small effect on the value. Bob

    I love Turnbull's work.  And, they have absolute integrity; they mark their work so no one can be cheated.  This gun should have their mark on the grip frame under the grips.  If I had a bid on this gun, I would phone Turnbull & talk to the shop foreman; in the past, he's been able to tell me exactly what they did to a specific gun, but that may not always have been the case.  This Colt looks good enough that most collectors would have been fooled, had nothing been said.

    I agree, it's not anything I would carry, and I carry a .38

    I have been following this seller for quite some time. He has some of the choicest pieces to be found and they usually bring mind-boggling prices. He has a '69 Colt Huntsman NIB and look at what it is at! I bought a Huntsman brand new in 1975 for $99.95. The next night I shot 3 coons out of a huge cottonwood tree and got $35 each. Paid for the gun in one day. It is in 80% condition now but it has had over 12,000 rounds through it. Had I left it NIB it would be worth a bunch of money now but I would have missed out on a lot of good memories. I bought it to shoot, not look at.
