I don't like to run out of anything, which is why I have 5 gallons of laundry detergent but do just one load of wash a week. 1 gallon of hand soap, 24 bars of soap, five tubes of toothpaste, ten extra toothbrushes, 50 disposable razors (in addition to 20 refill blades for my Mach 1), 80 rolls of TP...it goes on. Not due a sense of preparedness; I hate shopping.

I am about the same. As for the shopping - Judy shops and looks over everything including stuff we would never need or want. I buy - know what I want, get it and get out. Bob

You forgot the type 4 people there Mr. Perfect!   They are those 1% that have enough money and resources to never have to do anything for themselves. They just pay others to do all the dirty work.  Heck, they pay others to do all the work!   They like to hire type 2 people because they work cheap!

    That sounds like my girlfriend:
"I have an idea. Let's go shopping."
"I have a better idea. I'm going in for a root canal. It will be less painful."

I didn't forget them, just nobody cares about them.

I used to install HVAC systems in upstate Rome NY, we went to one ladies house and in her basement were rows upon rows of tall metal shelving units filled to the max with every thing imaginable! Only enough room between the shelving to walk through.
As we ran the duct work across the basement we could see that she had sections of specific types of items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss Etc. but must have forgotten where things were supposed to go and had new sections of the same items in other areas. Or maybe she had some method.
If she is still alive she is doing fine! And even if things expired Toilet paper should be good!

One thing incorrect about Type 3's. They not only know Type 1's exist, they hope that WuFlu is what they call "Boomer Remover." In short, they want us dead so they can have more of everything.

Our fruit room contains ample enough home canned goods, pre virus purchased toilet paper, and other necessities that we can easily make to the first snows in September.
But, we will be putting a garden in this year to replenish the green beans, beets, pickling cucumbers and as bad as I hate to say tomatoes, I love to eat them, just hate to tend them..
We have a dairy with Jersey herd a short distance from us, so we can get fresh  cream for butter if it gets to that. My MIL already trades them eggs for milk, so we have an in there.
And the Snake river is less than 2 miles from my driveway, I can ride a mule there and catch a mess of cutthroats, rainbows, or browns for a change from Elk, moose, deer, and beef.
so it suffices to say we are Type 1

I'm type 1X. When I run out of supplies I'll eat type 2 and type 3.

Start with vegan 2's and 3's,
they are closet to grass fed.

Remembering the past runs on 22LR - there are lots of Type 2's & 3's here.
The hope is that most here learned from the Great 22LR Shortage.
