Am I missing something about the virus?

Okay, I am thinking.  If the coronavirus is especially deadly to those with a weakened immune system, then why are we not seeing a very significant number of deaths from the large cities in the homeless and those who are so strung out on drugs they are zombie like.  They cannot have a strong immune system from their diet habits, alcohol habits and drug habits.  And you know they are certainly not doing the "social distancing" thing.

    You just haven’t YET. It’s bound to happen sooner than later. One reason they may not have seen an outbreak of homeless yet is they 1. Weren’t traveling to China and 2. Might not have had close enough contact with the general public that is infected. But rest assured it’s coming.

    US just ramped up testing this past week, 14 days potential incubation perhaps the snow ball is still at the top of the hill

    As mentioned above it just hasn't happened yet.  I fully expect San Fran and LA to have a massive infection rate and mortality curve in the homeless community.  May have already started slowly, but these individuals do not routinely seek any medical care on their own and may be somewhere they just have not been found yet.
    Homeless are found dead quite often days or weeks after the fact simply because no one is looking for them.

     My take on this. Unlike the jetsetters, barhoppers and walmart shoppers they're pretty much isolated from (as in shunned by) a majority of society.  The number of vectors where they might contract the virus is considerably lower than that of Joe the plumber.

    I would imagine if you live on the streets you immune system is strong unlike everyone that uses hand sanitizer ever 15 minutes.

    Of the 11 deaths so far in Kilwaukee all those that died were black and living either on the north or northwest side of the city

    Many types of cancer leave the patient with a compromised immune system; those currently receiving chemo are especially at risk.  Anyone who has received a transplant of any organ will always be at risk.  Many with auto immune diseases such as IBS & Ulcerative Colitis are at risk.  If your spleen or tonsils have been removed, you are at risk.
    Many of the homeless have mental illness, & will not seek medical treatment.  But, those that do, are usually covered by Medicaid.

    "most likely", "could", "maybe", ...all the same words I've heard used with H1-N1, Sars, Mers, etc.  Look at the CDC fatality rate numbers in the US for the last couple of years for a normal Flu season. 34,000 last year, 61,000 the year before. We're going into April and with only 2500, most who had some pre-existing health problems? Something wrong with this whole pandemic/dem-panic hysteria.
    8 days ago my Niece in TX was diagnosed with it, after being sick for 3 days. Mid 30's with other health problems. Gave her a shot of antibiotics and Tylenol, she's fine now.  Cooped up in the house with her husband, and 4yr old, neither one of them has got sick.
    There's 500,000 people in my county, only 34 have got it, nobody died. The numbers just don't add up.

    I don't see us having 200,000 dead in America.  Far from it, I bet we have about 20,000 dead.

    CA trying to move homeless into shelters. Think they would be much safer in their tents than crowded together indoors.

    The main body of this virus won't hit for another month yet. That is why we have more then any other country at this time. Now it is our turn. The problem here is that people are not taking this seriously. I am I have diabetes, C.O.P.D. and probably cancer although I don't know it yet. I venture out occasionally but I'm not taking any unnecessary risks. I sure as hell could see 50,000 dead here. That many in the big cities alone.
