The guy that we buy BBQ from is looking for a 1911 and I've TRIED to walk him through how to get on our things.....tomorrow is "tater day" so I plan on seeing him. We will see what happens.

I think the M1 will do good, as well as the CZ in 9.3x62. The Leupold fixed 7.5 should do really well. They haven't made the fixed power discipline scopes in quite a while.. Definitely some house cleaning.. GLWS. 0 -
The so called "HK full auto bolt carrier" has been cut and is semi auto. Here is a photo of my own G3 bolt, which is uncut. Note the red arrow at the top of the photo:

Thank you! I had an email in to the guy that owns all of this stuff. He hasn't responded. I thought Barry had looked into this with all the emails we were getting, but I guess not. We had 5 buckets brought in with an inventory list. Some of the stocks he has wrong on his inventory list and I've had to update those listings as well as this one. Its been a frustrating batch to deal with because I thought his list was going to be accurate enough for me to just trust.....but its not. The carrier you listed would still work in a G3, but would only allow semiauto fire, hence the reason for the cut in HK-91 and PTR rifles. In any case, there is always the slight chance that the winning bidder might actually need a full auto carrier, so be forewarned. 0 -

The wood and metal and fit and finish are top notch - far better than average...
But the bolt handle - the bolt handle knob - and their respective finishes have not been touched 75 or so years and seriously put a dent in the magnificent visual display that must have taken 100 man hours by a skilled craftsman.
Likewise the body of the bolt looks like a relic from a pick and pull scrap yard...
And the gun appears to retain its original trigger - which is not adequate for the task at hand and I to looks a battlefield pick up...
I shudder to think what the rest of the trigger mechanism or the inside of the bolt body or the working component elements of the guns safety...
Also o would immediately dismount the metal from the furniture and check for additional possible hidden defects...
A drop in high end adjustable trigger would have been cheap and easy - a single set or double set trigger mechanism would be a greater investment but easily doubled in your return - a Mauser dangerous game rifle of this caliber should have one...
The bolt body and handle and knob are easily refinished - replacing the knob with one shaped like an acorn would be within traditional stylistic norms...
No makers info on the whole gun - not even if you dismount the action and snoop around??? Caliber markings or witness marks or COO marks or familiar non military proof marks???
Kasey - please note this is not directed at you no do I blame you for its status. As far as I am concerned I owe you a debt I may never fully repay and as I promised I will try to provide both good and bad data that may greatly effect value...
And am always ready to do so proactive research or data mining - any time you ask...
BTW I would point out that making a dangerous game rifle from just any surplus Mauser is a risky proposition but building on on a marked and adorned receiver bridge with a CZ call out or crest data is the equivalent of a fine investment and perfect foundation for a bespoke custom build of this caliber and service intent...
Start with the very best and your bets will pay off tenfold in the field.

They can be a surprising gem and a wonderful range day shooter or training tool...
In my experience those chambered in .32-20 or .32 long colt or .32 long or .32 S&W tend to have low round counts - have not been fired much since in most places the ammo disappeared...
They usually lock up tight and have great bores - cylinder gap and alignment are almost always good...
Simple and easy to fix or clean - I have put oversized wood target grips on several of mine...
Little noise or recoil or smoke - not much wear on the gun or tare on your body...
Perfect training tool for the young lady.
Trust me on this one - I have a feeling.
