Rumor has it in some states that have shut down walk in restaurants truckers are getting a raw deal. No walk in sit down places to eat. Sure can't make a drive through and the servers won't let them walk up to window and order. 0 -
My Cousin drives for a MidWest chain grocery. Warehouse is dispatching 50-100% more loads than 2 weeks ago. Drivers are running over their DOT limits and some of the more experienced drivers don't think it's all that great. Most stores seeing shortages. People walking around the empty store shelves like a bunch of freshly weaned calves wondering what happened to MaMa. 0 -
We need three things to maintain order during this.
1) Truckers holding the supply chain together.
2) Power and water
3) The medical experts doing everything they are doing in every role.
The truckers are the first line of defense here.
