Regardless of your beliefs (No atheist in a fox hole) we could use a good saint now! Or at least a couple mugs of green beer.

    Irish Old Fashioned
    Two dashed bitters
    Two dashes orange bitters
One sugar cube, crushed (or 1/2 oz simple syrup)
    Two oz Irish whiskey
    Stir and serve over ice.

    Happy Saint Patrick's day!
I wonder if we could resurrect him to chase all the snakes out of D.C. ?
    Happy Birthday, Bpost!
It's also my 14th wedding anniversary.

There's an Irish pub twenty minutes from me with good grub and plenty of beer and ale. Sadly, like everywhere else people gather together, it's been closed. I won't be going there today  :(

None of those "facts" point out that corned beef and cabbage wasn't a favorite meal in Ireland. It became popular in the US out of the NYC Jewish ghettos, and was later adopted by the flood of Irish escaping the potato famine. (What little meat there was to be found in Ireland at the time was mutton.)
