    The Centers for Disease Control has a PowerPoint presentation online showing the statistics for the impact of annual flu virus in the US for the past several years. Averaging their data for the last 5 years, they show an average of 32,400,000 (yes, millions) of flu cases, 549,400 hospitalizations due to flu, and 43,200 flu caused deaths per year. Today's John Hopkins data on the coronavirus that is causing all the hysteria shows 1,281 cases and 29 deaths in the US so far. If the death rate increases 1000 times from where it is, that's 29,000 deaths or still a third less than the average over the last five years.

    Overall. That is very good news. I posted on a couple threads yesterday, that I had been in a Dollar General yesterday, and people were lined up 5 deep at the registers with as much TP & Paper towels that could be fit in the cart. When they went through and had left, I asked the Manager and Assistant Manager how long that had been going on? They replied for 3 days now, disappearing as fast as they could stock it. Crazy.
