I’ve got a shotgun, rifle, and a four wheel drive. Plus two weeks off from work. A country boy can survive.

60 head of cattle, couple dozen chickens/ducks, and a big pond stocked with catfish. Think I am good for a couple of weeks.

If you have waited up until now to "Prep," you are in for an epic failure.

Pre-planning is planning ahead. Those chose not to, are scrambling for basic supplies.

Poor planning, does not designate a crisis on my part.

Been ready for this as most old timers are always ready.Still have 150 pounds of taters left from fall.  But then neighbor has a couple of horses if it gets too bad. Will not starve.

I wonder how many folks are finally getting to use the MREs they bought for Y2K? Like boxes of Cracker Jacks MREs got a prize inside (read TP).

This is Mormon country, where all good members theoretically have a two-year supply of food staples on hand. But they're STILL panic buying. We're not of that church, but our house has a Mormon food cellar - and we keep it darn near full.

I spent a good part of the morning thinking about what food would be best if things got really bad out there and all the stores closed up.  I had this dream cloud over my head with me and the Mrs. sitting at the dining room table, splitting up a can of spam.  The two dogs were there too, drooling on my pantleg waiting for their share.

I then slapped my own face back to reality and remembered how much venison I still had in the freezer!

Soon Doc will be along to chew out all you hoarders. Or maybe not.

So what is the going ratio right now?

How many rolls of TP can I get for a can of SPAM? (Rather trade the Treet.)

(Or if serf comes along, maybe we can trade for some of the gold he has.)

Cant wipe with it, can't eat it. What good is it, if things truly get ugly?

(Besides making yourself a HUGE target.)

Guns, lead, food and water Boy's.

I have a boat, gallon jugs for catfish, enough tackle to catch any other species, and hardware to fight off the bandits.
