What proof Everclear will you use?
"Everclear is a brand name of rectified spirit (also known as grain alcohol and neutral spirit) produced by the American company Luxco (formerly known as the David Sherman Corporation). It is made from grain[1] and is bottled at 120, 151, 189, and 190 U.S. proof (60%, 75.5%, 94.5% and 95% alcohol by volume, respectively).[2] Due to its market prevalence and high alcohol content, the product has become iconic, with a "notorious reputation" in popular culture.[3][4] Sale of the 190-proof variation is prohibited in some states, which led Luxco to start selling the 189-proof version.[5][6]"

May I suggest you use 190 Everclear.    B)

@u55840 190 proof is the only reason I can think of to purchase Everclear. I have no idea why it comes in other strengths (save for 189 proof). It's pretty damn cheap even at 190 proof. (as it should be)

LOTS simpler and probably more effective: Fill any pump bottle with 8 oz water and 1 oz bleach. Sp

You're not doing it right if you don't apply it while it's boiling.

Saw on the news the other day that the makers of Titos vodka had to tell people not to use their product for hand sanitizer because it wasn't strong enough to do any good. I swear people are morons! On a happier note I've got enough Titos now to last a couple of months.😁 Bob

We don't have a problem in New York State any more. Our King Cuomo has tasked the prisoners to make and sell it to us. The old publicity hound even gave us a demo on CNN on how to use it. He wanted so bad to be the President and I think he is hoping that maybe Biden/Sanders will self destruct and he will get drafted at the DNC.

Was going to list all the things this Pompous A-- has done to toot his horn since the Safe Act but it would take days. Maybe later.

Hand sanitizer and all the sterilization of our bodies is what causes demics like this. We have no resistance to bacteria and such.

A little harsh on old skin Rocky, I will stick with the isopropanol version, thanks.

The last half of my post disappeared somehow. It said: Spray on hands and rub vigorously for 20 seconds, then rinse completely and dry.
My suggestion is to those who can't find the intended sanitizers but believe they need something more than plain old soap and water. (They don't, but beliefs are strong things.)

I never knew Everclear came in anything but 190 proof.

A waste to use Everclear for making hand sanitizer.  Save for drinking.  Use the 70% Rubbing alcohol instead (much cheaper).   Good luck on finding the aloe vera.
