ID this 410 shell.
I got this in a box of parts. It is a steel cased 410 shotshell. It measures 2 3/4 inches long. The head is stamped '410', '70', and another stamp that I can't identify. The plastic (?) wad is stamped with a '3' ( #3 buckshot?) A magnet sticks to it so I know it isn't aluminum. Any info will be appreciated.

In the distant past. I have seen similar metal case 410 shells. I believe they were for Air Force survival guns. But I believe, that the cases were aluminum rather than steel.
Your description of the head stamp, the way that it's dated. Makes it appear to be for the military. But the steel case throws me?0 -
