Sounds perfect ! Put a little shank in there for that texture and then you have GG beat!

Sounds great!  And, if you don't have the cornbread to go with it...rice will do just fine, again!

Almost a white out last couple hours. Nothing better than the woodstove stoked, and some killer Chow smelling up the house. (In a good way.)

Been snowing last couple days, cold out. (20-22° overnight.) Very windy. Best time to cook stuff like this. Mmmnn..............Mmmnn...............

"white out" conditions, call me crazy but I love those few times it happens here. Make some good food, nice heat and a few drinks, very pleasurable watching nature do her thing.

It's a "blue out" here today. Sapphire skies, calm and going to hit 55 degrees. Can't get a tee time today for love nor money - course is packed. (Played yesterday, though. Golf in February!)
Saturday night, however, it'll be rain turning to snow, high of 35 on Sunday. THAT may be my turn to make chili!

I heard you. In my opinion, if it is going to be cold - I want to see snow. The more the better. I miss the major dumps we had up North. (Got 48" in a 24 hr. period, on top of the 36" we already had on the ground one time.) I loved it. Slit trenches going everywhere. Took large front end loaders and dump trucks hauling the snow off our curvy steep road in a 1930's-1950's log cabin community, days to dig us out.

We laughed our A $ $'s off when one of our neighbors tried to take his lifted 4X4 pickup to plow in to it. Frame buried, wheels spinning in a few feet. Good stuff.

I keep dunkin' the Possums head in to the boiling pot of chili. He does not seem to be too enthused about it. Am I doing something wrong?

The thought of chili got to me. Had a big square of cornbread, so I heated up a can of Nalley's Jalapeno Chili and poured it over the slab for lunch. Yeah, I know: canned chili. But if you're hungry and want some right now, Nalley's is the best choice.

Had a crock pot of dried Pinto beans, I've been eating on last couple days. (Over rice with diced onions.) Down to about 1-2" in the bottom of the Crock Pot. Browned 2lbs. Ground beef, salt/pepper, Gunnut505's Red Chili dust from the "Chili Addict." 29ozs. of diced tomatoes, a medium diced onion, a large diced green pepper, a large handfull of pickled Jalepeno's fine diced, some pickled Jalapeno juice, large can of dark red kidney beans, a copious amount of Tattoo Kimchiri Coconut hot sauce. Crock pot on high, until it boils - about 2 hours. Low for the rest of the day, (med. boil) warm overnight. (Low boil.) Cold and snowy out. Perfect food.

Pretty sure I will have a trial bowl this evening. Love the stuff.

That sounds decent. Didn't you say you were going to make chili tho?

No. Nothing going on here Randy. I'd hate to have to have you eat anything like this. Carry on.

For now.  Just wait 'till later!  Poor ol' Buddy's eyes are gonna be waterin' and he'll be lookin' for something dead to roll in to get rid of the smell!

Heavy Snow, just now. (Big flakes.) Loving it. Beautiful out. Winter Wonderland.

Like the Dried Pinto Beans over rice, with diced onions have not been hitting him, over the last couple days, Neo.

I did a similar thing as Rocky last night for dinner but didn't have any canned chili.  Just made some Miracle Maze boxed corn bread and covered it with a heated can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew.

Taste was very good but for some reason thinking about it this morning, I feel like I cheated on a test! :|

Although I love Corn bread, and was raised on it - I have never made it. (Yes, I know - I Suck.)

My feeble admission for the day. (In addition to my Tyronnasaurus arms, and inability to touch my face.) Re. The AOC, don't touch your face post.

Did someone say corn bread? The wife makes the best ever, yum yum, Some how she mixes cornmeal, a little flour, an egg and who knows what. Hard to beat a glass of CB&M.
