bidding war on inexpensive revolver

That's the kind of thing I hope for whenever I list something...but it never happens. Sometimes things reach stunning prices when 2 hard-headed bidders go at it. It becomes an ego thing; the actual value of the gun has nothing to do with it.

I have a pair of Herbert Schmidt SAA clones

One with wood grips and a spare set of Indian sambar stags...

One has a set of nice pointer pups.

Both of mine are well made German quality guns.

It is the fake plastic staghorn grips that are driving the price!!  Imagine a green font.

I have seen it happen many times. The Obama years brought them out. A brick of 22LR in the hundreds. Primer and powders up to and over a hundred a can. Good time to sell

Ohhh, I see it is a Locusk auction. That explains a lot. That lady usually gets 120% retail. It is way over retail but heck, good for all who has a interest in it.

I have one exactly like that with both cylinders.  It was given to me by a friend's wife after he suddenly passed away.  With the magnum cylinder and snake shot it has killed more south Ga water snakes that I care to count.

That's a cool looking gun.  If it's just like,'the gun grandpa taught me shoot with','just like the one my uncle had',ect. and can't find one anywhere else???  Yeah,I'd bid it up too.

Nothing much surprises me anymore. Beauty and value belongs to the beholder. I watch High Standard Double Nines that cost $40.00 new bring over $300.00 and some $69.00 Winchester ,22s bring thousands. I have been known to pay $500.00 for a .22 that cost less than $10.00 new. I don't even try to understand value to someone else.  It's their money to spend.

Wow $285+.   Way more than I would have guessed.  I do love the free market, and my country that somewhat respects my right to own firearms.
