Remington 870 Barrel W/Knurling
I've seen plain barrels and ribbed barrels, but this one is a little different. Down the top center of the barrel is a knurled section maybe 3/8 inch wide. I presume it is to reduce glare, but what is the feature called? Is it rare? Is it particularly valuable? Thanks!

your correct on the non glare I have had one in the past but did a quick search it was the deluxe grade 870 one step above the standard grade here is a link
