Moving sale find!!

I dropped my wife off and she said she would be 20 minutes.  This is Julia speak for 35 to 45 minutes.  So I decided to just drive around this neighborhood I'm not familiar with.  About the third street I drove down was a sign that said moving sale.  Normally I'm in a hurry so I rarely stop at yard/moving sales but since I had time to kill I said "Why not."  I look around at a whole bunch of nice but not for me things and then my eyes alight on a Miele canaster vacuum cleaner with extra brush heads!!!!!  Not new but darn close to new!!  So I casually ask how much and get a $100 price, me being me my automatic come back was will $80 do?  She said "Yes."  I quick drew 4 20s and quickly loaded that Miele in my car!  That model is a $600 vacuum cleaner, some Miele's go quite a bit higher.  Momma has talked about how great Miele's are as a couple of her rich clients have Miele's for her to use.  This was a couple of weeks ago but I needed to clean up some dog mess before Momma got home yesterday and used the Miele for the first time.  REALLY nice.  

I guess even a blind pig can root up an acorn occasionally!!!  :)

    My vacuum cleaner and my carpet cleaner were both purchased used. A vacuum cleaner is going to get dirty, there is no way around it, so why spend money on a new unit?

    You did toss the bag or cleaned the holding can before using, right? Hope you didn't bring home new bugs.

    I agree with you but trying to find a Miele, used and in good condition is pretty hard to find!

      HEY, thanks for buying that thing. It blows circuits when plugged in but should not be to big of an issue.:)

    Grasshopper, are you serious??  We haven't had that problem.  
    Great vacuum, very easy to use which is important.  My wife thinks that if you don't vacuum the entire house a minimum of 5 days a week you have a dirty house.   I'm serious.  A total clean freak.  Yeah, a clean freak is a little hard to live with but I have been married twice.  First one was a TOTAL SLOB.  Second one is a neat freak.  Neither is the ideal but I can tell you, at least for me, neat freak is WAY, WAY better than the slob.

    Fresher , our wives must be twins ! Never seen anyone who loves a vacuum cleaners like her. She does the house everyday . No dirt is going to hide on her floors .

     NO, Sarcasm, I was pretending you bought it off me and it had a dead short in it. That thing will last forever. Good find.
