Well now the marrow biopsy is scheduled

I have a bone marrow biopsy set for 03/02/2020.  I was lucky to find out they give you the good stuff before the procedure, it should help with the pain caused by the "procedure".  It will be like a colonoscopy where you are in the zone, stoned out of your tree, but never remember any of it.  The goal of the biopsy is to look for scarring in the marrow that could lead to other nasty surprises.  All i can do is hope for the best and keep on trucking.  There is little I can do to change the issue so I will take MrMike's attitude and just deal with it.  Life goes on.

    I'm unfamiliar with the procedure, but to get to the marrow you have to get into the bone. That doesn't sound the least bit pleasant. Good luck, and keep us updated.

    I like your attitude about life and what life deals you.  I have had a stroke and am really crippled up so I have trouble getting around.  People will tell me I'm an inspiration to them.  I don't get it.  I certainly don't see myself as "inspirational", all I'm doing is refusing to give up and keep moving.  What is the alternative??  Laying around whining and turn into a mean bitter old fart??  I'm to blessed to act that way.  I feel sorry for the people that don't have a wonderful family like I have!  To me I'm just doing what you said "keep on trucking!!"   So good luck and just deal with what life gives you.  Remember it is all in your attitude!!!

    A whole lot of praying never hurts either!!  Speaking of which, prayers sent!!

    I have had several bone marrow samples taken under local anesthesia.......it is easy. No need to be out of it.

    I had one done when I was a teen...local anesthesia...no problem...

    Good luck with the procedure. As you said, a positive attitude will go far to benefit you and those around you. I would rather have them say nice things about me after they knock me out instead of "WOW WHAT AN A$$ THIS GUY IS".
