OMG, Breathe Rite Strips -
My new best friend. Wiped my nose down with an alcohol wipe. Applied the Breathe Rite Strip. Instant relief. I have not been able to breath out of my nose this well in years. (No medication.) Absolutely thrilled. I am shocked what a difference it made. A Godsend.
I may actually get some sleep tonight.
Highly recommend. (Understatement.)

I am estatic just now. What a HUGE difference. 😃
Best thing I have tried, by far. Breathing normally. (Shocked.)

I have been using them for many years and a great help to me as a kid I was in a car wreck that gave me 100 stitches in my face from what mom told me the doc sewed my nose back in place along with most of my face I have never been able to breath very well thru it . I will say scar tissue I can see it inside my nose ( and like you I have had a life long fear of having my mouth taped or sealed closed I know it would not end well
any way the old ones breath right had a lot better adhesive ( google backed that up for me a couple years ago on reviews ) honest I could use the same one for two or three and still be plenty of adhesive and sticking power for days now one night is it
the generic versions from Sams club or Walmart brand do better for me than the original breath right for sticking
they have helped me sleep a lot better and snoring has almost disappeared
I wish you luck
I was going to suggest them in the past but assumed most everyone has tried them . sorry wish I had told you before )0 -
I keep them just in case of a head cold. Just don't forget to remove them prior to leaving the house. 0 -
+1 and make sure you remove all the left over adhesive ( the old ones were worse ) I went to work one morning looked like a had a booger stuck to the side of my nose where I pulled off the strip but did not look in the mirror on the way out . a friend pointed it out ( whats a friend for )select-fire said:I keep them just in case of a head cold. If the strips open up your nasal airways perhaps you can use the nasal pillow set up you bought. 0 -
Ken, I think many of us here on forum assumed you had already tried the Breathe Rite Strips. They also make a heavy duty type that are stronger and more rigid and will work a little better. I have used them also with some success but they did irritate my skin where they stick on. I would still try the non PE Sudafed because it really reduces the swelling in your nasal passages. Just make sure it does not elevate your blood pressure too much.
Being an old Army vet I am sure you know Sleep Depravation is one of cruelest tortures known. I hope your torture will end soon.0 -
I use the heavy duty ones, every night. Cuts way down on my snoring, and keeps my nose open so I don't breathe through my mouth. 0 -
Yeah, these are the heavy duty ones. Breathing better than I have in a long time. (Still wearing the one from last night.) Yeah SCOUT5 I was thinking I might be able to try the nose setup on the BPAP.
Yeah Ditchrunner - one of my biggest nightmares is being tied up and having my mouth taped up. I would'nt last very long. (And) It would be an ugly way to go.
Had a somewhat decent sleep last night. A BIG relief to be able to breathe through the nose. I still plan on going to the VA for a consultation with an Ear, Nose & Throat Dr. Unfortunately I have to go down there first (before I can make an appointment) to submit paperwork that I qualify and get my ID card. Made too much $$ last year to qualify, so I could not register when I went to their ER back in Nov. They said I could try a walk in, but I think that may be wishful thinking. (3hr round trip.) So obviously if I have to make two trips down there back to back - 6hrs. on the road. 😮

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it. I am exploring that option. This is just a stop gap, to get some relief until that happens.

I tried those years ago. Far too annoying to wear. 0
