Way to rich for me. I have seen several rolling blocks in pieces - they aren't as strong as some people claim, IMHO.
Every so often a 43 mold shows up for sale, I bid but not a lot.0 -
It is spendy, but mighty nice!

That rifle had to have lived it's life in a dark, climate controlled and never touched by human hands. Beautiful blue and case hardening that would have faded in any natural light or atmosphere. It's amazing 0 -
I'd rather have a falling block (Win 1885 - Sharps, etc). I'm not a fan of the rolling block but I sure make an exception for that beauty! 0 -

I don't know how you can keep a rifle in that condition for over 100 years. I honestly had no idea they looked that good when they were new. 0 -

I agree with how you feel about this rifle, too, as its condition has surprised a lot of us...even iceracerx has made an appearance to chime in!
