Great rifle. I've already got a No.1 sporter like that in 280 and an international in 7x57 so I guess I'll have to pass. Do you know the story on the buttstock? Maybe it  was cut and then added back on as a young shooter grew up. Looks like a well done modification. Bob

Its very well done.   I don't know the history, but I really like how it all turned out.

It would be perfect for a smaller statured person as they could effortlessly make it shorter to fit. Perhaps one of the guys on here with a petite wife or daughter. The 7X57 is one of my all time favorites. A handloader can get almost 2800fps with a 140 gr Bullitt when they have a modern strong rifle to use it in. For a lot of years it was my go to caliber for western deer and pronghorn. It should do well. Bob

Man I like the BSA in 256!  What a beautiful piece of work.

If I already loaded for the 256 I'd sure be interested in the BSA. The neat thing about custom guns is seeing the features that someone else likes. I would have to change the grip cap and remove the cartridge case on the lever. Those two features don't appear to me to be up to the standards of the rest of the build. Bob

Price still stuck at $705. I have a #1 in .243 with a set trigger. Would I be asking too much if I tried to sell it at a gun show for that much?

what's hurting the price on this one is that the stock has been cut down , if the stock was still  original length,  i bet it would be in the 900 dollar range by now

Its always the last day when the bidding starts getting serious.   People put little token bids in to get the notifications when something is ending, but some don't even do that.....they just tag the "watch this item" icon and wait to see where it is on the final day.    It has 40 watchers right now with 5 days left to go.....that will grow for sure.
