+1 the bad thing is its 2 different types of wood. I have lightened wood on a Garand by soaking it in acetone to get the oil and crap out of it and it worked OK. But there is no way to fix that.0 -
It might be able to be sanded down and some dark walnut stain put on it to get the pieces to match up a little better. If not that wood would have to go. I couldn't stand looking at that. Well, first off I wouldn't buy it looking like that to begin with. If that's the best they could do with the looks on the outside I would hate to think what bubba did on the inside. 0
