Guys and Gals, take my warning, take heed and pay attention to what I am telling you.
NIKON SCOPES ARE JUNK!!!
I have had three of the BDC scopes fail. they were on a AR platform rifle one in 5.56 one in 300 blackout and one in 450 Bushmaster. None of them survived over 200 rounds, all of them failed at the second BDC circle in the reticule. The circle goes from round to elongated, POI changes and you can't zero them. I missed a nice buck last year because of their junk scopes. I have spent half the cost of a new scope returning their junk to them.
The last scope returned over a month and a half ago was on the 450 Bushmaster, it failed at about 40 rounds. I just got an email yesterday saying it can't be fixed and I got a voucher code for use at their website. The voucher is for $249.95. Sounds great right? WRONG, every single scope I could conceivably use is out of stock, not one useful to me scope is available. I can buy junk bino's I don't need or cheapo scopes that I don't want at half the voucher value and lose the rest forever.
You have now been warned: If you buy a Nikon Riflescope do so at your own peril, if you have a warranty issue you get to pay to return it even if the scope is only a few days old and wait for many weeks to get it back, if at all.

Wow! Sorry you are having such a string of bad luck. I have had just the opposite experience with Nikon scopes. I have a few on rifles ranging from 17hmr up to 300wsm and have never had a problem. Wonder if your current issues stem from them discontinuing their scope lines. It sounds like their lifetime warranty won't be worth much in the future. Bob 0 -
Can you use your voucher to buy a Nikon camera? 0 -
I sent a Leopold back once already and it is going to go back again.
BDCs can fail on all scopes. Even expensive ones.
Being old school, I refuse to depend on BDCs. I am still good at holdover and range by sight, the extra lines on the scope help as well. Military training.

Already have one.0 -
I heard a rumor Nikon is getting out of the scope business.
You might look for at a Nikon laser range finder.

Huh. I have never had a problem with the several that I have. Only one has the BDC reticule though and I don't have more than a hundred rounds through that rifle. Maybe the issue is limited to that reticule. 0 -
Have had several Nikon Monarchs over the years and have been very pleased with them. No problems whatsoever. I believe the Monarchs are the only Nikons I have owned. Monarch binoculars also.0

I have purchased several Vortex scopes since the Burris line has changed from what I normally desire. The Vortex scopes have proven rugged, reliable and amazingly accurate when adjusting them to hit where I want them to. The accuracy of the click adjustments seems spot on, I appreciate that feature along with excellent optics and construction quality.0 -
They are getting out of scope business, right? Helped a buddy with one it was crap. 0
