My sleeper pic for cheap gun today that will someday be collectible
I am a big fan of limited production runs that were cut short for various reasons. I've seen it happen with guns like the Ruger 10/22 magnum, Remington 597 17hmr, etc. Guns that for whatever reason were not made in their full runs. I predict someday the Thompson Center T/CR22 will be one of those guns with a story at least if not going up in value. These guns can be had for around $350 right now but they will most likely be taken off the market soon. Ruger is in the middle of a lawsuit with T/C right now, probably rightfully so, they basically advertised that it is a copy of the 10/22 and even has parts interchangeability with it.

I guess time will tell I do wish I had kept the AMT lighting rifles I had many years ago one was a factory folder still in th ebox with its carry bag
the other was a heavy barrel version . but hind sight is always best
I do have a Thompson Center classic 22 rifle has some gold scroll work and lettering like 1 of 900 or some such number
I called TC many years ago they told me they could not narrow down the run or why they did it but they had made several + similar limiter edition runs . it looks like a cross between a ruger and a marlin to me .0 -

While I don't agree regarding the collectability, I do own one, primarily for the threaded barrel. I like quiet hunting. 0
