Just recieved my Ruger Blackhawk cylinder from Hamilton Bowen!!

I had a 32 H+R mag cylinder reamed out to handle the 327 mag.  Can't get out to try it before Thursday.  I checked the weather report.  You all know the prediction.  100% chance of rain.  Never fails. :'(

    Ranger report in the future, good deal.   The 327 Federal adds quite a bit of top end to the chambering.  I do wish more people loaded the 32 H&R mag though, I think it's a good carry round for a pocket gun.

    At one time, I had the serious hots for a Single Six in .32 H&R but I never found one for less than a YGBSM price. The itch finally passed, fortunately.

    Bowen's charged me $125 to ream the cylinder and $25 for shipping it back to me.  I thought the $25 shipping was a little high until I got the package.  You could have thrown that box out of a plane at 30,000 feet with no worry of any damage to the cylinder at all.  There was three different layers of bubble wrap around the cylinder with a bunch off tape around each layer of bubble wrap than packed in a small box surrounded with styrafoam peanuts and tightly packed.   Even UPS couldn't have managed to damage my Blackhawk cylinder!!!!!

    30 Mauser, (7.62 X 25). Bullet diameter & velocity, is in the same ballpark. As the 327 Federal Magnum.  Shot a lot of the 7.62 X 25's over the years, in various military handguns. All with 4" to 6" barrels. In my experience from a short barreled handgun. The muzzle blast and muzzle flash, can be quite intimidating. Specially in a darkened area, like a indoor range. 

    Inside a normal residential room, you wouldn't even have to hit the miscreant. If the muzzle blast didn't cause a heart attack, the flash would burn him up. Couldn't imagine the effect, of shooting from a short barreled revolver.
