The national debt of 24 trillion dollars and tax cuts for the rich corporations with CEO tax dodging stock options is his worst problem for me..He did not keep his promise of balancing the budget and paying down the debt,in fact he is as bad if not worst  as Obama in that regard.

Donald Trump promised he would eliminate the nation’s debt in eight years.

Instead, his budgets would add $9.1 trillion during that time. It would increase the U.S. debt to $29 trillion according to Trump's budget estimates.2

    He did better than expected.

Kind of went off the deep end to left towards the end.

Not sure why the Federal government is involved in K-12 scholarships, family leave for private employers, high quality child care or health care, but I guess now that we are a center-left country it kind of makes sense.

Not sure how bragging about $ 2.2 trillion in defense spending, a pledge to protect 'your Social Security', and promises of spending big bucks on infrastructure advances the cause of fiscal responsibility.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I will grant you he has been and is going to be better than anything the whacko-left will present, but isn't that a fairly low bar?  Will we ever be able to demand a President who 100% respects the individual freedoms and liberties codified in our Constitution and Bill of Rights?  So long a we are satisfied that what we heard last night good, much less the best we can do, we will continue to see the power of the Federal Government grow at the expense and to the detriment of the rights of the individual and the individual States.

Economy is going well.  All of those who wish to work and get ahead in this country are doing better than they were 3 years ago.  Deaths due to drug abuse are going down, and the average American can expect to live longer today than before, and the idiocy of caging people for basically moral transgressions is being reduced.  All positive things, and Trump's policies have assisted in these advances.  Kudos to him for these.

    Good post Don.

    Agreed.

Good post. However, the part about a POTUS who respects 100% of our freedoms and liberties will never happen, IMO, when he has RINO's and Dem's to deal with. Too many people seem to think that they need to interpret the B of R's and the Constitution to fit their way of thinking, or the way they want to be perceived....

Agreed. Good post Todd. (To think otherwise is Utopian thinking.) You do the best that you can, with what you are offered. Can you possibly imagine a POTUS Hillary Clinton?

Those of you who "held your nose, and Voted for him anyway," need to get over it. He has done a very good job considering what he was left with, the obstructionists left in place, and the never ending Democratic Impeachment process.

Who would you propose, that is actually Electable?

Serf, you need to look at what happens to debt when it can't be paid from a historical aspect. National, corporate, as well as personal.

As far as bellyaching about corp tax breaks, we had the HIGHEST corp taxes in the world. It was GOPs tax breaks that has brought about the renaissance in our economy.

No, it was the 17th that was the real disaster, essentially gutting the 10th.

The 17th put the US Senate under control of the parties and not the states as originally intended.

The 19th changed how all Federal candidates had to relate to the electorate.
