Kind of went off the deep end to left towards the end.
Not sure why the Federal government is involved in K-12 scholarships, family leave from private employers, high quality child care, or health care, but I guess now that we are a center-left country it kind of makes sense.
Not sure how bragging about $ 2.2 trillion in defense spending, a pledge to protect 'your Social Security', and promises of spending big bucks on infrastructure advances the cause of fiscal responsibility.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I will grant you he has been and is going to be better than anything the whacko-left will present, but isn't that a fairly low bar? Will we ever be able to demand a President who 100% respects the individual freedoms and liberties codified in our Constitution and Bill of Rights? So long a we are satisfied that what we heard last night is good, much less the best we can do, we will continue to see the power of the Federal Government grow at the expense and to the detriment of the rights of the individual and the individual States.
Economy is going well. All of those who wish to work and get ahead in this country are doing better than they were 3 years ago. Deaths due to drug abuse are going down, the average American can expect to live longer today than before, and the idiocy of caging people for basically moral transgressions is being reduced. All positive things, and Trump's policies have assisted in these advances. Kudos to him for these.0 -
