Papa Murphy's pizza

Fed up with Papa John's so last night decided to try Papa Murphy's.  That was the best pizza I think we've ever had.  My wife said that it looks like Papa John's has lost a customer.  You have to cook it yourself but it's worth it.

    Hard to beat the cowboy or the chicken garlic. Thin crust is the way to go IMO....

    Wife & I loved The Cowboy also but sadly the store just 10 miles away closed last year.  Now I would need to drive 20 miles (one way) the the next closest.

    Never heard of it.  Always like to try new pizza's. All we have close to here is Little Sleazers and a mom & pop place that unfortunately needs to learn how to make a good crust!  

    My Sicilian wife makes a GREAT pizza but I have to place an order with her 6 months in advance!

    Papa Murphy's pizza is take home to bake trash, but it's still leagues better than what passes for pizza at Papa Johns.

    We've been a Papa Murphy's customer for many years now; Papa's Favorite with Jalapenos on half (my half)!  :)

    I think Murphy's is just a little better than PREMIUM frozen pizza.
    When I was a kid, Pizza Hut was going strong and I LOVED their pizza, especially their Priazzo they had in/around 1985. I also worked in a few positions, then managed one for a few years. Sadly, since the mid-90's all the 'Huts that were once so good started declining. At this point, I feel like they are like Burger King, Denny's, and others. Their food still tastes fine, but after dining in, I feel like a tetanus shot and burn my clothes so I don't bring home bed bugs. I also think, if that is how it looks up front, what does it look like in the kitchen where people don't see? All of those places needs some money injected into them and remodel.

    Yes sir.  And they are the only ones that the sauce does not tear me up.

    We had one for a short time near us. Went out of business pretty fast. Charged more than the two others in the same shopping center & you had to cook it yourself. Never understood why people would do that.

    Heck I drive 650 miles to get Hideaway Pizza.  Papa Murphy's is pretty decent too.

    Ogden probably has a dozen delivery pizza places. There are 11 good chefs and one bad one. He always seems to move to the place we're going to try next.

    Good stuff isn't it? I guess I am lucky to have one maybe a mile from where I work. Oddly, I have found I like their lasagna better than the pizza. If you like Blue Cheese dressing, they have the BEST! It has crumbles in it too. :p
