I know new information is uncovered and released continuously. But I read this stuff over 10 years ago. From the time lines I've seen modern society and technical progress really ballooned when homo-sapiens started breeding with homo-neanderthal in the Mediterranean region. As homo-sapiens went further into Asia they breed with homo-erectus. Explaining why more Neanderthal shows up in the DNA of people in Italy and more homo-erectus shows up in the DNA of people in China.
My theory is the interbreeding resulted in increased brain function that lead to the creation of modern civilization.0 -
