One of two Walther P99s: 9 mm or .40 S&W. The 9 mm is a compact, so it fits in the center console a bit better.

Kel-Tec Sub 2K in the venerable .40 cal. Paired with a Glock 22 that shares mags. 17 rnds for the Glock, a 10 rnd standard for the Sub2K, followed up by 4-5 31 round SMG mags.

As well as whatever daily carry I have on me. Usually a S&W 642 Airweight in .38 spcl.

My Spfld hangs on a magnet under the dash on the left side of the steering column. Handy for a Southpaw like me! I've hit some pot holes in the roads, but it stayed put.

A 1961 Colt Trooper 357 Magnum (4 inch barrel & Target Stocks). It moves from my nightstand to the vehicle we are traveling in and back to the nightstand when we return home.

I drive a Chevy Cavalier that weights 18,200,000 grains, will run over 176 FPS and is lubricated with Mobile One Full Synthetic running on good Michelin tires. Who needs a gun??

When I think of a truck gun a handgun just doesn't come to mind.   While I carry a hand gun, and may keep one in the truck, when I think of a truck gun it's a long gun.   Truck gun to me means something to take care of what a man may run across and that includes other things than just person defense.     Besides my carry piece I usually keep a shotgun and a .22 rifle in the truck.  But I may keep anything depending on what I'm up to.

A 22mag is a decent truck gun for around here.  Can dispatch an injured deer, shoot a coyote, a ground hog, step in the woods for a squirrel hunt on the way home.    A lot of the boys in Kansas keep a 22-250 in the truck.  Just depends on where you're at and what you may run across.

If there is a gun on my hip when I get in, then that’s my truck gun.

So a Glock 43 if I am carrying.

A locked car doesn’t equal a secure gun!

I don't keep a gun in my truck.  If I am in that truck, or any other vehicle for that matter, I have a pistol on me, usually a Ruger SR1911 Commander size Night Watchman.  My wife keeps a gun in her car, a 3" Smith & Wesson model 36.

Why (??) Did you have to do that to me?

I was unfamiliar with particular firearm. After having watched the Video, I need to own one.

Why, (??) would you do that to me Mike?

I have 8 hours of hand to hand combat training I don't feel the need for a weapon in my vehicle.  If things get dicey I always have my rape whistle as a back up.

I always thought that was a great way to have a gun stolen along with your truck.  The gun stays with me.  In the very rare circumstance I am forced to leave it in the truck, I have a locked steel box screwed to the floor in a very discrete location.   No snatch and grab guy will get to it.

Something like this would be my preference............bold, yet refined. Classy, yet capable.  A great fit for Northern VA traffic.  :)

My situation exactly. Steel lock box/trunk - bolted to the floor of my vehicle. Steal my vehicle, yeah you've got it. Beyond that, I own it.

    Or perhaps...

Or stashed in a briefcase - hidden in a shoulder pack - a back pocket rider

Or maybe an example of southern Italy

Though a modern reproduction of the below referenced gun would be a sweet piece...

What I would really like is to have the Tundra equipped with phasers and photon torpedos.  I have tried Rock Auto and Davidson's but apparently I live in the wrong century.
