adding a picture to a post?

anyone use imgur ? if so how do I post a picture on the GB forums? all I can post is a link that has to be opened.

I was able to post pictures before the new and improved site

disregard.  I fingered it out  lol :o

    Rocky, you just right click on the image, and select "copy image location", then paste that URL into the comment box as per below.

    This method works from IMGUR and basically any place where you are able to see a picture posted on the web.

    Once more. Nope again.
    I copy, then pasted into the drop-down box, as instructed. But then what? I hit Enter and nothing. I clicked back in the text box, but then the photo didn't appear. Nothing there when I hit Save Comment.

    When you get that box hit browse, it brings your pics from your computer, pick the one you want !

    @Rocky Raab the image I posted immediately above was posted using the method I describe. It's user error of some sort if it is not working for you, as best as I can tell.

    well I tried every link that Imgur has and as you can see none of them produced a picture, if you click on the link then you get the picture

    "Copy Image Location" and paste works for photos stored  IN YOUR COMPUTER. It does NOT work for photos on IMGUR. Mr P has posted a different method than originally described.

    LOL. You're not correct about that at all. Copy image location is an available option when right clicking on an image on the web and that method works regardless of whether the image is on IMGUR or not. The image location, once copied, can be pasted into the dialog box as I have demonstrated above. You can disbelieve it all you want, but that is precisely the process I followed.

    Whenever I listen to digital music, but wish it was from one of my LP's, I use my Vinyl simulator. The picture is from PB. The key is to post the image URL/link without the IMG brackets that were required on the old forum.

    I'm trying. I did it, I think.  Thanks for the tutorial!:D  I am on FotoTime it offers link, HTML, and BB code. Just copied the link and pasted in Img URL

    ok, go firgure  ,, IF I right click and hit paste , nothing appears but if I use ctrl v then it works >>> thanks looks like i got it now

    Okay, but what do you do after you hit Ctrl-V and the link appears in the box? Nothing I do after that makes the photo appear. (if copied from Imgur)

    just left click on the Green box (post comment )seems to work for me and yes these are copied from my pictures on  Imgur

    that's stool is at Moe Hardware  in BlackRiver Falls WI , one of the largest gun dealers in the state , the Ruger Rep gave  them  the cover and  I believe some local shop put it on for them  ,  I tried to buy it off them but it was a very big  NO

    Well, that time, it worked, but I had to use the "Direct Link" option on Imgur. The right click method still fails.

    Rocky Raab,
    What browser are you using?  I am running Firefox, and Mr Perfect's example was done in Chrome.  Maybe that is why it doesn't work for me? 

    *Edit*

    Figured out how to post pics from  imgur.  By right clicking on the image you want to post (and selecting 'Copy image location') , or by clicking 'copy' on the direct link, the photo shows up IF I use "CTRL + V" in the 'Image URL' box.  The "paste" option to the 'Image URL' does not work for me.
