I wanted to take my boys just too many irons in the fire this year.

The 5.5 Flat plane engine is going to be a monster when it also hits the streets.

I have been a corvette guy and supporter for the last 20+ years. But I recently purchased a Porsche 911 and I guess I am now changing my allegiances to the Porsche teams. I watched qualifying on line yesterday and the sound of the C8 was quite different. It will be interesting to see if they have the reliability the C8 they had in the C6&C7.

It might take a few races to get them settled in .

Watched the earlier televised session until 6 pm. Haven't checked the NBCsports app but it isn't back on TV (NBCSN) until 11 pm. Helio got shoved off course and into the tires earlier and spent some time in the garage.

Looks like the # 4 Corvette had a massive oil leak last night. That is exactly why these races prove what can go wrong and the engineers find a fix.

Well the Corvette finished 4th. Not bad for a first outing. The surprise was the BMW winning ahead of the Porsches. However Cadillac won the big prize for the second yr straight.

Yes, that was a good run for the C8.  As for DPI, Wayne Taylor Racing is a great team and Kobyashi did a great job driving the Cadillac.  They had enough problems/penalties they had to overcomes to win. If they wouldn't have had the multiple issues, they may have won by laps not seconds.  The Porsches didn't win alhough they lead most of the race in GTLM and GTD.  The 911 also has a new generation like the C8. the 2020 911 is a totally new car from the previous years. That's what pushed me over the edge and had me trade my 2018 for a 2020 ( the totally new generation of 911). Over 90% of the car is new parts.
