    There was quite a bit of discussion on the boards when the event took place. Obviously Marvin Heemeyer was, shall we say, eccentric. His stunt could have killed hundreds of innocent people, but he chose to kill no one but himself (or so the official report states).

     I remember he seemed like a guy with a plan and a few cards short a deck  and almost got his revenge ,, dang basement / footer wall  did in his creation ,   he was pushed to his breaking point and went all in

    This trailer seems to suggest he had a full deck but things just kept piling up and he finally lost it.  Helluva rig he put together.

    Guy got screwed over by the zoning board, IIRC.  Fought it in the courts for years and finally was pushed too far.

    Did not realize at the time that he had a 50 BMG rifle in the dozer with him.  Perhaps that was artistic license by the filmmaker.

    I don't know that I would call Heemeyer a hero, Mr. P, but certainly a cautionary tale of what can happen when a good man gets pushed too far.

    Anyone that fights back against oppressive government is a hero in my book. YMMV.

    Sort of like the guy who had enough and flew his plane into the IRS building. Granted innocent lives are not fair game in war but I do understand the concept of pushing someone to the breaking point.
